Hannes Peer was born in Bolzano and chose Milan to establish his architectural practice in 2009. His projects throughout Europe, the Middle-East and the USA range from high-end residences and luxury retail to bespoke designed furniture. In his personal, recognizable style, Peer articulates the relationship between architecture, interiors and design. The subtle transitions between these disciplines are the driving force behind the creation and development of his projects. Hannes Peer's design approach is characterized by the search for high quality in design on all scales through the study of the close relationship between materials and new technologies mediating between craftsmanship and industrial production. The projects display an affinity for historical references, expert use of colour, materials and patina in eclectic combinations combined with a spatial design attitude that always searches for the most interesting design approach. Hannes Peer began his academic career at the Politecnico of Milan and in 2017 Hannes Peer assumed the role of professor at NABA University in Milan and is responsible for the Interior Design masterclass. Architectural Digest France honored Hannes Peer in 2019 for the third consecutive year to be included in their AD100 list. For SEM Hannes Peer designed the Paesaggio Collection. A series of furniture pieces with a strongly defined architectural identity of rigorous design and material choices.
